I am part of an amazing group of woman photographers called “The Visual Chrysalis Collective.” This month, we did a “Shootoff” at Monaliza Studios in Brooklyn, NY. This is where I met Celine for the first time.
It’s funny because she didn’t have the fro out when I first saw her—her hair was wrapped. Then it was our turn to shoot and she switched things up. Lucky me! Fros get all the heart eyes :)
I can’t choose between color & monochrome for this set, so here are both versions.
These backlit images give me sooo much life.
I made a large print of this last image to show off to everyone who enters our studio location in Queens.
